Unraveled by Courtney Milan
This last book of the Turner series is my favourite. A few more skip-skip passages but tolerable. Smite is the product of a mad, abusive mother, Miranda raised by actors. The poverty of 1830's Bristol is the backdrop for tempered justice and love.
